E-Rickshaw Accident Claims Young Man’s Life in Farrukhabad

A young man died in Farrukhabad’s Kampil area after the e-rickshaw he was driving overturned while transporting bakery goods. Despite being rushed to a community health centre by emergency ambulance, doctors declared him dead, raising fresh concerns over e-rickshaw and road safety in the region.

A routine workday ended in tragedy in Uttar Pradesh’s Farrukhabad district when a young man lost his life after the e-rickshaw he was driving overturned, highlighting ongoing concerns over road safety and the vulnerability of small commercial vehicle operators.

The incident occurred in Rudayan village under the Kampil police station limits. According to initial information, the victim was transporting bakery supplies in an e-rickshaw when the vehicle suddenly went out of control. The e-rickshaw overturned on the road, trapping the driver underneath and causing critical injuries.

Passersby at the scene rushed to help and immediately alerted emergency services. An ambulance from the 108 emergency response network arrived promptly and transported the injured man to the nearest Community Health Centre. Despite medical efforts, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Police officials confirmed that the accident was reported to local authorities and that standard procedures are being followed. While the exact cause of the vehicle losing control is yet to be formally determined, the incident has drawn attention to the safety conditions of e-rickshaws, which are widely used for both passenger transport and small-scale goods delivery across the region.
